Hi! This is weird because now we don't have 2 computers to use for emailing so I get to use this I-pad from Elder Jensen. So sorry if it's not as long as usual.
This week was a great week! We had a few cool lessons that I want to tell you about. The first one was with a guy ________ (Guntur means thunder in Indoesian so that's pretty cool) we met him about a month ago on the busway and finally got to meet with him. He also brought like 5 of his friends with him. He is in his mid 20's. He is someone who is pretty strong headed. We had to be very clear with our lesson and be very respectful of his comments. He took notes while we were teaching and would throw Bible verses at us. He would try to think of questions that negated what we said. So at the end of the course we just told him that the only way he could know if this was the true church was for him to just read the Book of Mormon himself. He is the kind of person who is hard, but fun to teach, because when he said he would read it I knew he would. So we are going to meet with him on Tuesday again, so hopefully that goes well. Right while I have been typing this, the postman guy came and delivered my package! Perfect timing! It has exactly what I wanted and I'm very happy about that. Thanks Mom! The other person was ________. She doesn't really understand much, so we focused on Heavenly Father and how to pray to him and why we pray. She came to Stake Conference yesterday and she is very cute. It's also cool because her older brother who has been inactive for a long time really wants her to learn and now he is very active and comes to every activity. We also taught _________. She had some questions about the afterlife, so we taught her about the Plan of Salvation. She is very busy so we don't get to meet with her often, but it is cool to see how she has opened up a little bit. Hopefully she is reading from the Book of Mormon and also she comes to church on Sunday. Stake Conference was really good! I got to say hi to all the members from Bogor and it was just a blast. We also got matching dresses and ties as a district so that was really fun. I will have Sister Xiao send some pictures to you from her camera. We also found out that Sister Xiao is moving! We don't know where yet, because since all the missionaries are coming to Jakarta for the Conference with President Ulisses Soares, they are being told to bring their luggage to Jakarta, and then they will be told during the meeting where they are being transferred. Sister Xiao is way sad that she has to leave and I'm sad she's not going to be my companion anymore too. So we'll see this week who my new companion is! Well this I-pad is hard so I think that's all for the week that I need to say. Love you! Talk to you next week! Love, Sister Davis
